SCHOLARSHIP WINNERS

The Idaho Press Club announces the winner of the 2020 Don Watkins Scholarship.  This year’s winner is Mackenzie Lauritzen, a senior at the University of Idaho majoring in public relations and minoring in marketing.  The Don Watkins Scholarship awards $1500 to graduates of Idaho high schools who have completed at least one year of college and wish to pursue a career in journalism or communications.

The Idaho Press Club’s mid-career scholarship is awarded to Drew Nash, Chief Photographer for the Twin Falls Times-News. Nash will receive $500 to help defray the cost of attending the Image Deconstruction Workshop in Denver.  As part of the scholarship, Nash will share what he learns with the IPC members, either at a workshop or in an article for the IPC newsletter.
