Jennifer Swindell

Jennifer Swindell, the founder, CEO and managing editor at Idaho Education News, has been an Idaho journalist for 30 years.

She spent 20 years with the Idaho Statesman in a variety of writing and editing roles. She was promoted to the first female sports editor in Idaho before serving as special projects, government and news editor at the Statesman.

She followed her career with the Statesman as an information director for the Caldwell School District and as a communications director at Boise State University.

While at Boise State, she launched her “big idea” — Idaho Education News, an online news service devoted to holding lawmakers and educators accountable for taxpayer dollars and student achievement. In seven years, has grown to host thousands of page views a day and has seven full-time employees.
